Who Are We?

October 14, 2023, marks Australia’s first time since 1999, where citizens will be deciding on a Yes or No vote. This is in recognition of the First Nations Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.

The 2nd year Communication students of Charles Sturt Bathurst established ‘Line In The Sand’, a home of unbiased and informative platforms for multimedia content to further enhance and engage those between the ages of 18 and 30 about The Voice.

The audience, who have never voted in a referendum before, are given a chance to switch off mainstream media and surrounding thought to come to a better understanding of how and what impacts their final decision which will potentially change the constitution. The Line In The Sand will provide a definitive guide and explanation of the process of the referendum and the potential impact it may have on our lives.

(Disclaimer) While this website does not have any direct Indigenous perspective, it derives from a group of students that seek a communicative and level pool of facts, information and explanation of the facts and actions of the Voice.

Acknowledgement of Country
